how is this service compared to other websites that provides similar services?
for example, msn photos, yahoo photos, webshots communities, sony imagestation, etc
since i want to try it only if it's good.
don't want to waste my computer hard drive space...

| The software has lots of potential, but is currently lacking some important features like sub-categories. According to Picasa's forum there is a new release expected sometime soon. Although, I doubt the next version will be free. |

It did a good job in searching the image files in my hard disk. Actually I can not stop it to search my harddisk until I reinstall it. So be careful to read the instruction before you click yes. In general it's a nice photo orgnaizing software and it's free. In my opnion it's better than the same type free software from adobe. The UI is quite neat and operation is easy. So after trying it, I keep it in my computer, it deserve to survive in my computer. _________________ nice to meet everybody here |

| it still has a ways to go. they need to keep adding more features and it might be better. i think someone else said it has a lot of potential and i would have to agree with them. it just needs time to develop. but still pretty cool since they are giving it away for free (for now). |

| I've not used other photo services, so I can't compare. But Picasa is easy to use. Easy to set up catagories and move your pictures around to different catagories. But my question is, how do you put a caption on each photo? |
