My school is doing stuff like cake sales and going round the school with buckets and stuff. It's a little annoying coz they shove the buckets in your face when you haven't got any money so then you feel guilty.... but I'm gonna bring some money into school tomorow! If you're doing anything, what is it? And I hope you raise lots of money! Well done!

| I'm donating to my school. The fund that my school is collecting for the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF). I particularly like this because the money goes to support for children in need. |

I donated about 400 Canadian dollars which is roughly over 200 American dollars, it was to one of the organizations that was raising funds for UNICEF and to a Swedish NGO called "radda-barnen" which means "Save the children"(that's it's international name)...Hope it helps...because in Sri Lanka and Southern India, at a time like this, a family will be able to live on 10 American dollars for a month...
I also donated to a supposed "old people's fund" but it was a scam...oh well...
Beware of scams, there are many heartless people in this world who are trying to cash in on the disaster... _________________ "A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get it's pants on." - Winston Churchill |

I'm 29 years old ...I think there was a thread where everyone put how old they are, so you can check that out if you want to know about anyone else's age...

eric,
got your maths wrong! | Quote: | | because in Sri Lanka and Southern India, at a time like this, a family will be able to live on 10 American dollars for a month... | 100 USD is fixed as the border for poverty line even as per government norms! |

| btw, dont donate to the red cross, use the paypal or something, the red cross use 47% or something of the mney for so called " administrative costs", since i found that out, ill never donate to them again, i'd rather donate directly, thats what paypal are doing. |

I never trusted the red cross anyways.
Cvrk, the capita per income for Canada is about US$30000 per year or about US$2500 per month... _________________ "A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get it's pants on." - Winston Churchill |
