I think we need something different to talk about once in a while. Let's talk about bioelectricity. I don't have much to talk about on bio-electricity other than it is what "excites" our muscles to make them move.
When I was a kid, I had a check-up because sometimes when people touched me, they were treated to an electric shock of a fairly high voltage. It turned out my body generated a larger amount of bio electricity than what is normal and as a result, sometimes the residue bio-electricity remained at the tips of my fingers and various other parts of my body and so when people touched me in those places they got shocked. Mind you, the intensity was not that high like a taser, but it stunned them for a while and a *zit* sound was emitted. As I grew up, this uncanny ability grew weaker.. until it sort of disappeared. But recently it resurfaced. Whenever anyone touches me, they get shocked. It is sometimes painful, but most of all annoying. I don't know what to do...most of the time my friends get shocked when we are hugging and they think I'm playing tricks on them with those shocking toys or whatever they are called.

I am serious, it's not too often but it's often enough. It is not of a too high voltage just like I said, and I'm not the only one in the world who has this problem.

I've had a horible incident with bio-electricity, envolving me, a plasma ball and another person. That incident still sends shiver down my spine. And yes, I think what Eric is saying is possible -- I have been able to emit electric shocks when I want on a couple of occasions, although it might be a coincedence.

Yeah, so I am not talking crap cvrk, there are many people who can do it. But I don't think they are as unlucky as me because today, I was just testing...I was rubbing my hand against a smooth concrete surface...and you wouldn't believe how long my hand was getting shocked, it literally stuck there. I don't know how to explain it, but it was like paralysis except I could actually move my fingers and my hand around but I had to move them with great difficulty and it stinged when I tried to do so, numbness as I would like to call it. I also experimented on metallic substances and discovered that if I rest my hand on conductive metallic substances, I begin to shock myself after a while.

Props to you if you could do it when you wanted but the thing is, it all happens randomly for me when I come into contact with other people/objects.

let me clarify- you need not feel disheartened.
I do accept that there is an electric charge around every body, including human. this had been proved scientifically. But to amplofy the same to the extent of "mild shock" is an exaggeration. I had come cross such claims from people, which is subsequently proved false. My right to differ from your stated views does not in anyway reducing the love and affection i do have for you, but facts are facts.
to me, once again permit me to differ, your posts is only exaggertion and intersting for the sake of arguments and disucssions. But on facts - i still hold the view- it is a crap!
so do i attribute to the post of ashley!
still if you want me to accept your story, let me accept the same for the sake of friendship and nothing more!! |

You are entitled to your own opinion, and I also know there have been many fake cases and hoaxes, but there have also been many genuine cases and a man with a similar defect was interviewed on the BBC news channel. I think this will be an endless yes/no argument since I have nothing with which I can prove myself except by word of mouth which doesn't mean much. It's like if I slap someone when no one is looking, the victim and I are the only ones with proof of the act, so no satisfactory proof can be provided to others. So I just want to end the argument with....hmmm nothing...
Carry on the discussions everyone...
Perhaps Geekerati could enlighten us on the latest technologies that are being developed other than the Sony Eye Toy to try and receive neural signals from the brain.

I don't care if it is real or a coincedence. But I do know that if I am angry and/or tense, It is likely that I'll emit electric shocks at a higher percentage likelihood than usual (from experience).

I know that when I rub my feet across the carpet and then touch someone with the tip of my finger it will shock you, especially in the Winter. It generates enough of a current that you can actually see the contact when it is made.
This thread is getting better by the minute, please gentlemen, keep arguing in this playful manner because I'm bored and a little drama isn't so bad once in a while. Lol
