My idea may sound pretty farfetched, but, since you have a similar problem regarding gmail, it could be that your ISP has blocked Google or maybe Google has banned/barred access to their websites from your IP address.(Highly unlikely)  .

Or someone was playing with your computer?
It might be possible that the google servers are blocked somewhere on your pc? maybe the browser? or a firewall/protection software that you accidentaly blocked google?

| i think that clearing cache should do the trick. also look at the prferences of your explorer! |
