Well let me put in my two cents on this one, I again with most of you on the RIAA I don't support them at but I no longer download music or movies from the internet. In the old napster days, I have over 5000 songs and them they shut them down. Well after that I give it all up, not to mention that I know someone who was arrested for downloading illegal material from one of these peer-to-peer sites.
This is no joke people, be careful what you are downloading. I also know someone who received a letter from their ISP carrier warning them that they were contacted by movies studios and to stop using the service or they would lose online service.
But back to the music issue, if the price for CD was not so much we would not have to deal with this stuff. Or why don't the record companies create something. I hate buying a CD when only 1 song is good.
Stuff2Do if I may ask how are you finding the unsigned artists I am interested in this, I just purchased 2 cd's from someone new on the sence. Eric Roberson I heard a sample of his work and he is awesome. thanks

Oi, sometimes I wonder at the intelligence level of humanity. I can understand the purpose of copyright laws. The people who create great things want to protect their creations. The problem is, that law prohibits the spread of information. In the digital age of today only money is valued more than information...facts...truth. Unless you're stronger on some spiritual level and are one of the few who place family and friends even higher.
If I make something great...something profound that affects the mind and emotions as much as music can...I want everyone to share it, not just those who afford it. I could care less if I make money from it or not. I'd rather not profit from the emotions of others.
It's by withholding that we hurt each other. We're afraid of the unknown. It's why the American government is going after terrorists so heavily. It's why people are afraid to use Linux. It's why people are so resistant to change.
If only all humanity could be made to follow Google's mission: to make all information free and acessible and useful. I can only hope. It might happen in my lifetime, when I'm an old man and all that's left are people of this generation and the next. I'd like to think that starting with out generation, people are more willing to spread information without even thinking of possible profit. _________________ http://img117.echo.cx/img117/3782/sig114hc.jpg

I like your attitude !! . The older one gets though the harder it is for them to change/accept. We got locked-in and comfortable. Too many people are content with mediocrity ! Information is money, so money is actually number one and two and three and four...on the value list. Look at Religion and Politics. $$$MONEY$$$
Here is a nice test on integrating information and communicating technology. Give it a whirl. _________________
