I suggest to you, Elliot, to eradicate the "Free stuff" forum. Though it was created with good intentions, it does not really serve a purpose to the community. It is not google-related at the least. In essence, it is nothing more than a spam haven for people who register just to publish their referral links. Except Mayur, I have seen none of them ever posting anything helpful or useful to this forum. On the other hand, I also wish to see the posting of referral links completely outlawed and prohibited. And adding to that, you should detail it out clearly in the various "rules and regulations" threads scattered throughout the forums.
Any constructive thoughts?

Yes I agree, it has drawn many spammers to our boards. The word referral needs to be banned from GC, it will guarantee less spammer traffic.

We need good intelligent members, not ones whose only purpose is to post a referral link and never check back here again. Or, maybe you can set up limitations on it. Say, 200 posts to use that forum? Or maybe you can buy it like you could the Secret Forum for like, 5000GC? That way if our good members did want to use it, they could, whereas we wouldn't have people coming to GC with that as their only intent.

Let us shoot the uck and depose the chicken! Twisted Evil
It will be a relief if Elliot decides to delete the "free stuff" forum. If it becomes a reality, I will probably have to say: "Good riddance!".

EDIT: Shocked

I support the idea of banning referral links, and I suggest that all threads regarding trades/offers should be in a trading post section. Hope you'll give us a reply on our suggestions, Intelliot. =)
