Read the story here.
| Quote: | | A patent filed in the US will allow stories to be ranked according to their quality, rather than just by relevance. The patent would create a system to compare the track record and credibility of different news sources, New Scientist magazine has reported |

That would be interesting and helpful. People can judge the credibility of news articles by themselves if this gets implemented after the filed patent is accepted(obviously it's not going to be rejected ). However, the reputation of authors need to be taken into consideration as well, and I have not seen that addressed in the article. _________________ Darren loves Tokkolo who has e-feelings for Geekerati. |

I think it will be better for the most part, but I'm not always happy with the news reports. Bias opinions, politics and subjectivity can plague all of them at times. I always like perspective, cause the truth is usually somewhere in the middle of it all, in the end the truth we accept can vary greatly, but this is a good thing I think for Google News. Do you agree with their variables?
story length
number of staff employed
amount of traffic to its website
Read NewsMax sometime, it's pretty good. _________________
