| Quote: | | Though CEO Steve Ballmer has been boss for five years, Gates, who is chairman and chief software architect, is leading the charge against Google. Forced to watch Google's stock soar the way Microsoft's used to, and Brin and Page enjoy their roles as tech's new rock stars, Gates brings to the fight a ferocity that nobody has seen since the Netscape war a decade ago. Their popularity gets under his skin. "There's companies that are just so cool that you just can't even deal with it," he says sarcastically, suggesting that Google is nothing more than the latest fad, adding, "At least they know to wear black." | [/quote] _________________ Google community ROCKS |

Yes, thanks for the info. Bill ought not fret, as there are still plenty of people out there who will stick to defaults for simplicity's sake. He wants to be 'the' monopoly and not give a chance for other developers to do their thing. I don't like his attitude. I've always respected Gates because he is a smart man, but he needs to give other people a chance to shine.
The funniest part about it is that Google is not even aiming at Microsoft like they are Google. Also, Google can offer their products free, whereas Microsoft has to charge heaps just to keep their employees working |

| Thanks Nice article!! Gates has got every reason to get annoyed! thankfully, it is the developers who are going to have a say! As long as the development is going around the MS platform, gates will continue to rule!! It is not what you use will count, but what you develop and on what is going to count! |
