and I actually got a response from a gentleman named Nathan Tyler. He said that "Because of the restrictions of our quiet period, we didn't conduct any interviews on the Picasa news."
The statement they issued was:

and Picasa enables users to easily find, manage, and share them. Picasa
complements Google's ongoing mission to organize the world's information and

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Picasa users will not
experience any interruption in service. |

It's nice when people find the time to reply to emails that they get. Makes a change from some big places.
I've heard MS tech support is quite good but I cant vouch for it personally.

By the way, for those who don't know what the "quiet period" is, it means they can't make too much noise before their IPO (initial public offering), or when their stock goes public.
We'll find out more after the IPO  |
