Well, it could be that Darren is an autist.
When a guy has difficulties differentiating if Eric means something as a joke, or is being serious. This is know as the syndrom of Aspergers. Darren, you might check that on the internet.

And yes, omg, I need to visit you, but I'm afraid of 2 things:
-You might find me ugly and that might shock you, and it would be embarrasing for me.
-My english pronunciation isn't that good, as well for my english vocabulary, so that is kinda embarrasing as well.
