This is an emachine T2865 , when I turn on the machine the cpu fan runs for about 10secs and then it shuts down along with the power supply fan. The switch light is on but nothing works, I can't open any of the cd drives. It doesn't gives me any kind of beeps or screen messages .It just stands there like an expensive paper weight. Here are the specifications directly from emachines;

If it was the power supply it wouldnt boot at all. i dont know what about the motherboard? _________________

well, I had a similar problem once. It was a loose connection with the power supply and the hard drive. The computer just stopped working after about 10 minutes, but not 10 seconds... _________________ http://julien.sizzly.com

Tahts a possibilty. A Power Supply could have a loose connection. Look at it if you cant see anything look for something else. If worst comes to worst buy a new power supply and see if that works. _________________

| I can't get any boot screen and I have checked all the power connections. I have disconnected and reconnected almost everything. But still only 10 seconds in the fans. |
