I've tried about a million ways to uninstall Google Desktop Search (so that I can install the new Google Desktop Beta software), but the darned thing doesn't want to come off. These have included following the two suggestions on the Google Website:
I'm having trouble uninstalling because my Windows username or domain has changed.
GoogleDesktopNetwork1.dll was not removed when I uninstalled.
Does anyone have suggestions on how I can uninstall the software?
In case you haven't figured it out, I have already tried Control Panel > Add or Remove Program and then I tried a fix I found on the Google website (remove specific registry keys then reboot and delete user directory). And then I tried a broader fix (removing all registry keys for Google and then delete user directory). None of these have worked. Maybe I caused more damage???
