I know there are lots of services popping up. There's MySpace as well as MSN's "Spaces" I think it's called. Those online communities where people have blogs, share photos, communicate with friends, etc.
I think Google could develop a *killer* online community-type service that would tie in with all their other services, somehow.
Just think, they could integrate where you're located with Google Maps API, your friends, where they are located... Integrate the messaging with the community into Gmail.. Even tie in the "image hosting" with Google's Image search... I don't know. To me, it sounds like the missing glue to tie all their miscellaneous services together.
If you think about it, everyone who uses Google religiously already HAS a "Google" account. So there would just be features to expand upon that.
Just a thought.

Nice idea, maybe one day it will become a reality but I still think if they release it I will probably still use spaces, but out of both of these I would still prefer my blog.

| I would love something like this. Currently I have my wordpress blog that crossposts to my xanga when I update, and hopefully I can find a plugin of somesort to post to blogger...but Googles own community setup could be a lot of fun. |
