| Hello, I'm new here, and all I have to say is wow. This is a very nice site. I was referred by someone and I am very impressed. The interface is awesome and the forums are just overall very clean looking. Good job! As for the GC$ and shop, BEST.IDEA.EVER. Seriously. Whoever thought of that deserves a pat on the back. This should get rid of all those beggars asking for freinvitesPLZ!!11!. However, I understand that you have no invites left. Will you get more? I've been looking for invites for a while now and this looked like a nice place to get one. Nice community, etc. If not, that's cool too. Still a good place to post. |

Welcome to the community, GRox.
I like how (unlike other forums which make use of stores)you don't need to buy an avatar, or the ability to show a signature in the shop.
The amount of invites to Gmail has recently decreased from what I've heard. Could this mean they'll be launching soon? Or does this mean that they just think they have enough people to beta it? All will be known in due time.

It is for Google.
It has a few useful things for webmasters like, 26 steps to 15k a day. (which you can view at Search Engine World for free: http://www.searchengineworld.com/misc/guide.htm) and a little template for optimizing pages (You know the old one link in bold, one in italics, one in a link to a pr8 site, etc)
Mostly it's just things like changing what the results are. In example: adding &num=-1 to the end of a query makes no results.

Just things like that, information about the API, and ways to just play with the search.
The part at the end regarding optimizing your website is about the only part I found interesting and useful, for the rest of the book I basically just looked at the title and then skipped it.
The part that made me satisfied with it was that it confirmed something: basically make a good website for visitors with lots of juicy content and search engines will reward it. It's those websites that visitors want, and it's those websites that search engines want above all else to bring visitors to.

| i just found this site from orkut and i also think it is very nice. not a big fan of phpbb but this site makes it look very nice (prefer IPB). |

I just came here throught orkut and this community is amazingly cool... I'm impressionated about how people goes after an invitation, and also impressionated about the nice idea of gc points and shop!
How people are nice and help each other in all these communities and even in orkut...maybe a kind of needing of being together, in communities, and trying to be better, honest...
I don't know...maybe it's all bullshits...but I have to say that I liked all these stuffs.
