I think what gilson_rosa's saying is he/she cannot type in Chinese on the keyboard. Explain to him/her how to do that. Smile

Well, if that is the case:
Start->Control Panel-> Date, Time, Language and Regional Options->Add other Languages->Languages Details->Add-> Pick your input language(Chinese) and keyboard layout. Apply. From then on you can switch between your standard language and Chinese.
It could be the case that you still need to import Chinese fonts though...

Cheers,

You will still have the problem like I have with typing Thai at the moment.. That is that the characters are not indicated on the keyboard itself. What you can try to do as well is find an online Chinese keyboard. Or buy a Chinese one if you can find it. I will buy Thai character stickers in Thailand to put on the buttons/keys of my current keyboard.

Good Luck!

Hi, Frumau!
I have solved the problem about Chinese characters. I just installed DBTools Manager Professional in a computer with Windows system in Chinese, but it only accepts simplified characters since I want to work both with traditional and simplified ones. Anyway, Iīll have to install DBTools again in a computer with a Windows system in Traditional Chinese.
Related to Portuguese accents, now itīs fine but the software still doesnīt accept signs like "į" and "~".

I saw your website. Itīs good! How long have you been working on it?

Cheers!!!

P.S.: Thanks for your tips about setting up keyboard, but I already had done that. It was really a matter of Windows system. I was using one in Portuguese.

Hi Gilson_Rosa,

Glad you solved the problem. It was the Windows system itself, eh? Well I guess it is not the same as working with Thai characters then...

Thanks for the compliment! I have been working on it since March this year. I am thinking about changing the format though. No more tables and image swapping, but just <div>s and CSS, but I am still in the testing fase...

Cheers,

Hi, guys!
Here I am again to disturbe you. I finally solved, for a while, the decodification problem, but now I have a new one. When I try to test the DB I created appears this message below:

Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user 'yourusernamehere'@'localhost' (using password: YES) in c:\program files\easyphp1-8\www\dicionario\dbconn.inc on line 10
Could not connect to MySQL Database

Through this message do you have any idea about whatīs happening?

Thanks in advance!!!

Well access denied...so I guess you either haven't access rights or you didn't enter your database name, host name, login or pass corectly in the mysql access script.
And as you seem to be running it at your own computer you should have access unless only an administrator or other person can access that folder.... so maybe you should check all the data I mentionned earlier..
