Just curious what you guys think of Yosting.com for a hosting company. or maybe a hosting forum?

| i dunno about that but one host i would recommend to anyone is http://serverge.net . i know the owner (hes a teacher at my HS) and he is a great guy and answers questions as quickly as possible. one year is only $25 via paypal or $35 from credit card despite what his main screen says of 5,10,or 15 a month. he also has software more up to date than what his site says. ive told him to change it but i dont think he has gotten around to it yet. |

I think intelliot meant he was planning on creating a website called "Yosting" and was curious on how it sounded. I don't think it actually exists yet.
Yosting sounds like a decent name. Hosting might be challenging though. I've thought about it myself - there are many things I find worrying about. For example, legal problems with any disgruntled customers.
Let us know if you create the site.

I like the sound of it... Yosting.com
It's not just another WebHosting.com/CheapHosting.com/QualityHosting.com no it's Yosting.com
I think that name can work. It's obvious you reffer to hosting, but it's not the common used "I put something before Hosting" .com name. It's original and it has a nice sound to it. My 2.8 cents is that this name can work. |

Sizzly is a cool name but I always find it hard to market sites with a name that doesn't describe something. However, some of the best websites have names that don't describe their purpose, so who knows.

i like sizzly.com better. just sounds cooler to me. changing one letter doesnt have the same effect.
update: elliot, you didnt happen to plug your hosting site on kevinrose.com did you? lol i was looking at all the choices and seen sizzly.com. then i noticed the person that wrote that.  |

When i saw "Yosting.com" the very first thing i thought of was:
Ned Yost, Manager of the Milwaukee Brewers. lol But that is just me. hehe
So i dont know. Might want to stick with Sizzly.com as it is.

Comparing Sizzly.com and Yosting.com I prefer Sizzly.com.
With Yosting.com you immediately know that you're dealing with a hosting company. I like the name, it can work. However if you compare it to Sizzly.com I like Sizzly better.
Sizzly is original. Even though you can't tell right away that it's a hosting company the name is Catchy. People will remember the name and it's nice and short. Also a name doesn't have to show what kind of company it is. The website can do that for you.
Of course it's also a personal preference. I like the name Sizzly. I don't know why... but I just like it. |
