How much is GTalk expanding? When exactly will GTalk be "Non-Beta"?

Does anyone know the answers to these questions?

No one ever knows when Google will release one of their products out of beta, except for Google.

Google Talk is expanding currently through a new 3rd party software.

There is a Google Talk Plus program. Info and link can be found here.

There is also video conferencing available, also referred to as live video chat. Details and info here.

So it's kind of expanding at the moment through 3rd party applications.
