hi all,
I also have seen google earth clearly. I was using in since over 2 months now but never saw kashmir.
saw it today and these is not much to worry about the images...what i could see , kashmir is till in india and arger part of it is seen... yes POK is also seen but cannot identify it clearly... what the problem is that as the images are not clear totally(its free version) so one may feel that majority of kashmir is on the other side of india..but one may clearly see it in the full paid verison of google earth...that Kashmir is still indian... and no one can take it away..may it be the UN or the US....

well i think , you didnt activate the button which shows international boundaries ,
this button is available at bottom left of ur screen where there is a list , in that , there is a option to activate this feature (for free) well , it just shows the borders and also the most important , it shows majority part of kashmir in pak, and there is no PoK , well there's no meaning of word LOC , but atleast google should take care of (PoK) , thats gonnna coz big trouble for google , if local newspaper find that , and yes , i am providing most of the editors inf. about this matter!!!1 Twisted Evil

1. On google's version:
When such similar mistake was there in microsoft product, The indian Government took a stand of banning the software unless the borders reflected the true internatinal position. Micrsoft withdrew its earlier version and corrected the postion and reintroduced the software. Google earth being a net-product, Indian Government has little say about it! It can be changed only if Google takes a stand!
2. On Bangladesh:
Eric, It is not true that US back tracked or otherwise. It is true that seventh fleet was running towards the indian nation. But what won the war was the sentiments of local bangladeshis, assisted by the Indian Army. Indian true to its tradion did not want to occupy, but was prepared to lend a helping hand to the aspirations of majority of the people. It is a classic case of language winning over a religion. Bangladeshis speak Bengali- an Indian language, unlike its western "counterpart of Pakistan" and felt that they were neglected and the official language of Urdu was not accepted locally. Geographically it was impossibile for western pakistan to excercise control over east pakistan ( now bangladesh) as the intervening land mass was controlled by India, not a supporter of pakistan. Becasue of the distance, Pak even though assisted by US, could not muster the strength. China taking not a supportive role to it, pakistan could not do anything logically. The Indian army, coupled with the local sentiments liberted the east pakistan into a seperate country Bangladesh. It is another matter, now with the father of nation mujibur rahman, a friend of India is no more, Bangladesh is now used by regligious fanatics to operate camps there and assist the terror activities of POK.

Well, I wasn't talking about how they gained independence, but yes, it is true that their language prevailed over religion. The "Free Bangladesh" aid movement of Ravi Shankar(I think that's his name...) also had contributions. The US would've launched an attack on India, had the USSR not intervened. And obviously, China wouldn't stay neutral. They would've taken advantage of the situation and overrun Sikkim and Ladakh, their primary interests with the the inner territorial boundaries of India. No one respects the McMahon line of control, heh....

well , i would like to say that these internal conflicts , which are here written by you , may be real , the actual situation is not known to any one Laughing
its just like wave optics
we study what we observe Laughing
and we dont study what actually happens , if we compare these two , then what we study is s h i t
its same case even in this asian conflicts , which we are discussing currently.
i hope , we shall now divert the topic Laughing
