i dont understand why google talk don t goes directly to SIP
it will complicate everything if the final target is SIP because
it will be necessary to have a compatibility between old and new client

and they are just waiting google to open their servers

jean-michel, SIP doesn't work through NATs, Jingle does.
And, as I pointed one or two weeks ago in one thread, there's also version of Psi and GAIM with Jingle integrated...
