i hope u answer it now , and that too yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, you never know. Maybe the government will try and take some measures to stop this kind of things happening again. Maybe they'll acquire some sense. Maybe they will be able to stop this kind of things from happening in the future. Maybe even by next year.

But then again, the way the government performed this year might be a good indicator of what is going to happen in the future. It all depends on what the government actually does. If I find that they are taking steps to prevent such devastation, I'll say "no". If I find that they are not taking any such steps, I'll say "yes". But for now, I can't say anything, really.

Hi,
Don't forget that on 26th July during the heavy rains, it was High Tide and if you don't know ,the six major drainage pipes are closed during high tide.
Else you can't imagine what the condition would have been..may be worst that want have been....water levels in the city would have rised...its a natural calamity and my friend nothing much can be don't in such situations.Yes things would have been little better if we stop using plastic...

well , i dont suppport your view ,
i am not asking to stop the calamity!
i am asking to save lives as fast as possible , remember , the katrina and rita of america , govt. declared the areas dangerous and removed the people , and that also before those hurricanes arrived Laughing , well but here , there was no rescue , everyone was dying in front of govt. and i cant hope that rescue operations can take place during a calamity , rescue operations take place before the calamity ! Rolling Eyes , well but the govt. is not that equiped with latest technology , thats govt. fault! bcoz we pay our taxes , we pay everything on time , even the huge electricity bills , we dont use that much , but we pay! then too they do load shedding! i live in kalyan and i know the meaning of word load sheeding more accurately!
then where does the money goes?
well govt. is responsible for that! they misuse the funds , i mean , they eat the funds which are meant for public , out of 12 crore which mumbai expected from central govt. not even 1 paise did mumbai recieve!
its our ignorance , or see america! the whole town runs away , when there some calamity , remember the whole town that tooo big is empty!!!!!! Shocked
and we ! well thats because of govt!!!!!!!!!!!
and i am asking answer from govt!
well where is drainage system proper in mumbai? Mad
no , they get money , but its not implemented!
there are lots of things more this is not even 10%!!!! Evil or Very Mad

Yeah, you're right, Gaurav. Maybe the government should implement the money they get through taxes properly. I believe that they don't do it now.

And yes, I believe that there were rescue operations during the rains. After it began to flood, that is. In many areas. That's what I saw and heard on TV, and so that's what I believe in.

By the way, who's the major electricity provider in Kalyan? Is it Reliance Energy, the MSEB or is it someone else? I'm asking because you made it looks like as if the government provides electricty for you. Wink

yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
its MSEB here , which is ofcourse govt.. (sarkari)
they put 4 hrs load shedding here per day and 3 days a week!!!!
well that is 12 hrs a week ,
and i never get bills below 2,000rs per month!
and on the top of it , they say use 2hrs electricity per day and you can avoid load shedding!
well now for 2 hrs , i can have a generator , which will cost me less than 500 rs!!! per month!
now from me they have 2000 rs , well the whole kalyan also suffers !!!!!!!!!!!!
on the top of it i lost 3 SMPS due to electric fluctuationS!!!!!!
thats the quality of our MSEB u can rightly say ( Monday to sunday electricity bandh!)

Hmm... I've heard of that before. It must hae been in the newspapers. I've heard had they've implemened this programme in Nai Mumbai as well. A friend of mine lives there, as he was really frustated about this the last time I went to visit him. But so far, nothing has happned to Greater Mumbai.
By the way, have you heard about why the Maharashtra government is doing this? They're not able to produce enough electricity for the whole state. That is what I call poor planning. I don't think that they've ever tried building a few extra electricity plants here and there since the time this thing started. They really should.

it seems you dont read newspapers
there are many projects pending !
enron , upgradation of tarapur plant (nuclear)
then one in akola , all are half or less than half completed , but they are not totally complete to produce enough electricity , on the top of it , when this govt was elected , they distributed free electricity to farmers!
its not planning that has gone wrong , its their strategy or say , their vote banks!
they are ready to collapse huge buildings in USA(Ulhasnagar) , but they are not ready to bring down slums in Mumbai , really , this capital is useless , it should be called "city of beggars"!
thats true! atleast more than 75% people are beggars and all enchrochers!
well , this country has become useless , and i dont feel like living here anymore , railway is hell ,
well bye for now , keep posting!
some monster's (minister) child should read this!

They have got projects pending? I didn't know. And yes, I do read the newspaper.

I say, if you're really so upset about what the government is doing, why don't you try writing to them? They might take your letter seriously. Or, as is usual, they might just throw it away. But you can try. At least you'll be able to find solace in that fact when Mumbai starts collapsing and the beggars start revolting. Wink

I'd have thought you'd have found it bad. Sadly, the Indian Government is a really bad one. All the fellows in Parliament are corrupt. It's pretty evident. I believe only the Prime Minister and the person who made him the Prime Minister are not corrupt. But... well... you never know.

They spend only a part of the taxes we pay and take the rest for themselves. Many sting operations conducted by news channels have proved this to be true. And the police is just the same. Corrupt. They do nothing but take bribes.

The Indian Government is in a sad state. I only wish I could do something. Ideas, anyone?

Well, it seems that all Indian politicians are opportunists. I was watching BBC once and on a certain programme they were interviewing a man who was apparently the nephew of Sonia Gandhi. They were inquiring him about growing friction and tension against her, which he denied, but still criticized her some things, which I mostly forgot, blah blah blah, and talked about some dispute that after the death of his uncle(Rajiv Gandhi), India's relations with foreign countries was waning. He also said something about India being dependant on the Soviet Union as an ally against the united forces of China, the USA and Pakistan. He also said something about some dude dying in Bangladesh or whatever. Then it shifted to Sonia Gandhi's mother-in-law I think and she refused to comment about anything. Funny interview. Then a BBC reporter showed some Indian college where it was shown that local thugs were groping the women against their will and there was chaos and everyone was running and...yeah. lol, don't know much about India's politics so can't say.

Though that might have been true some time ago, it's definitely not true now. The Indian Prime Minister has already had talks with George Bush, and I believe we have his support. And, if my sources are good, I believe Manmohan Singh (he's our Prime Minister) is either having talks with the Chinese authorities about, well, friendship ( Wink ). And as for Pakistan, they're already good friends with us. Ever since the time when the Indian cricket team toured Pakistan in 2004.

I don't know anything about that interview you're talking about, though. Sad
