I think there's quite a big problem with labels. It's not very intuitive to non-techies. They're just not used to it.
I think labels should have much more of a folder feel about them, by actually including a "drag and drop" interface within Gmail. For example, when on the Inbox, you can hold down your mouse on a message title, drag it over a label on the left-hand side block, and release the mouse. This applies that particular label to the message. However, it doesn't move it from where it is - it would stay in the Inbox (or in All Mail, if the message was already archived).
Also, depending on how many messages you 'check', they're all applied when you drag-and-drop.
Anyone like this idea? In other words, just make Gmail more like Calendar |

Yeah, I like the idea. And you're not the only one to speak about it. Many others on Google Community have talked about the same thing.
But if you really want this idea to be implemented, you'll have to tell Google, through their Help Centre. That's the only way. _________________

I like the idea too, but I feel like if google didn't really care what we suggest, I think they just have already planned the future evolutions and won't bother what we think... Though their evolutions are often great |
