Hello everyone, the front page of my friends website was hijacked on google with (I presume) 302 redirecting last week. It used to be first match on Google with a PR of 5, but now another site has stolen it's glory.
The http://www.myfriendsdomain.com/ page has been replaced by the hacker site on google, and unfortunately this page (the front page of my friends site) is the only page which is linked to anywhere on the net. The other pages of the site have a PR of about 2, but are now steadily dropping down google - from 4th last week to 12th now... I presume this is because google doesn't know of any pages linking to them on the net!
Does anyone have any advice for me - for instance, when google next tries to index the homepage will it forget about the new hijacked domain or not? Would htaccess redirecting the next highest page to the front page help google find it or hinder it? Should i try to plasted new links over the internet to the second highest page of the site to try and get that to the top instead?
Do point me to any useful past threads that i've missed.
