Hello Group:

I am new to adwords but pretty savvy when it comes to marketing, my ads are pretty good, I have read a lot about setting up good ads. I actually bought an ebook about selling cell phones on the web. I have a site http://www.cellphonecitydirect.com.
I
have a few sales but unfortunately the expense of adwords offsets the sales.
I get $50 per phone, about 1400 clicks so far but 6 sales, even being optimistic, figuring 200 clicks per sale, I can't afford to pay more than 20 cents a click or so, the problem is most of the sponsors and big players are paying from a dollar to 2.5 per click?
My keyword list is very expansive includes phrase and exact matching, I have about 15 ads running. Both to my site and direct to sponsor.

The book I bought, is pretty useless, he keeps his bids at 11 to 15 cents, most, if not a majority of the ads, don't even validate at those prices. So the info is pretty useless. Even with great ads, you simply won't rank with bids that low.

Any advice would be appreciated? How can affiliates make money with adwords, most products, will make me about $50, many will make much less! What am I missing?

Thx

Paul

It's very difficult to make money that way. You might want to think about -

1. Adding AdSense or other ad services that might boost your revenue
2. Adding more content. Make people find you even without AdWords. Get links, get people to want to come to your site.

There are a lot of people making money with adwords, I have bought 2 books on the topic, I have another site where I sell mp3 downloads, my keylist is very pertinent features exact and phrase matching my ad has keywords in title, my minimum has recently been increased to 10 dollars a bid!!

Adding adsence would seem to dilute my sales, I don't want competitors on my site.

Thx for responding!

Paul
