Hi all,
Is there any solution to this problem?
I`m not able to install Google Talk, in Windows 98. Nor is there any build, for Linux.
Could this problem be solved/fixed/..atleast hacked, so that i can access it in windows 98?
Solutions are most welcome.

The official Google Talk requires Windows 2000 or Windows XP.
There's a host of other IM clients that enable you to chat, just like Talk, using the Jabber protocol.

No, there isn't, but you can chat using GAIM.

yup..., i`ve been using GAIM, for yahoo, through Jabber Protocol, for an year.
But, i`m not able to get to Google, using Gaim, somehow......!!
But, anyway...i`ll keep trying...

Yes, I had the same problem, using Win98. I couldn't get Gaim and Gtalk working, either.
I've since got Trillian (but only the 'pro' version can use the Jabber protocol).
But prior to that, I did have success using Miranda, a very slim IM program that
worked well with Google Talk and Win98.

Well, Thanks buddy.
I was looking for something like that..
I also tried PSI, but, it was not connecting to the Jabber network, for some unknown mystic reason...that almost made me wonder.....
anyway.... i`ll try Miranda......
