|
|
|
I noticed a couple of interesting things while filling out the "personal" section of the Orkut profile.
The choices of "turn-ons" is lifted almost word for word from match.com's "turn-ons." I only noticed two of them that don't directly match -- e.g. match.com uses "money" and orkut uses "wealth."
Two of the essay quesitons come directly from AOL's love.com -- "five things I can't live without" and "in my bedroom you will find (love.com uses "you'll" instead of "you will)."
It looks to me like whoever designed that section picked his or her favorite questions from other personals sites. |

Hmm... very interesting observations. Perhaps the rumors are true, and Orkut is sort of a dating service.

| They're pretty upfront that dating is one of its uses. |

very interesting observations. what you imply is that google plagiarised these choices. Is it not?
hats off to you for having done such a study.
i am a member of orkut and it does not attract me much. i am also not happy about their too much personal questions. |

I just have a tendency to see something and think, "hey, I've seen that before." I thought the questions were somewhat odd the first time I saw them, so seeing them again made them notable.
Plagiarism is a strong word, but then again, a lot of what's repeated doesn't seem to me to be stuff that two people would independently think up. |

Easymoderator, for 300gc$ you can buy an orkut invite in the shop and you are only one post away from the 300gc$
What beats a screenshot? The product itself. If you do decide to buy an orkut invite let us know what you think of it. |
