Well, about 4 minutes ago Google just released their next piece in
their online office suite, which one day will obviously be bundled and
attempt to take on Microsoft Office head-on.

There's the tour and signup page (limited, invite-only system, like usual).
If anyone else on here gets an invite first, I'd love to try it... *hint, hint*

Only people with a Google account (not only Gmail) can be invited (sorry KB3JUV) As usual the invitation will be sent by mail.

I'm not sure, I couldn't send KB3JUV an invitaion on his Gmail account. He didn't have (or didn't activate) a Google account

I applied yesterday, (as stated above), and my invite was in my gmail this morning...The spreadsheets look pretty good...Must give them a run through and try them out....

Microsoft states Google Spreadsheets is like we'd look back in time around 10 years.. (found on digg.com), but that's definitely no true, they just want to protect their bullsh1t. Spreadsheets will have many improvements (Google states), and it'll be (it ain't yet by any means) a real competitor to the redmonder product.
