This was a file accidently (I assume) copied to the new writely website (was quickly taken off too), which introduces a newer, better world.

I can't wait till beta invites start happening, I want to be on of the first people on the band wagon with this idea.

Wow, that one page has sure made the rounds. It's been mentioned once or
twice here in various forums, and the bloggers have been close to wetting themselves.
Interesting, if true, and sort of sounds like a logical service that Google could/would offer.
But it would also be pretty easy for someone to mock up a page and stick it on Writely. _________________

Also, the Google logo looks a bit diiferent. But I'm not a pessimist. I hope Google offer this service in the near future.
When they do, bloggers will really wet themselves. _________________

| The logo is like that because the pictures have been created to go in to make it not look so bad. When this was uploaded, the pictures were not in the same directory, so no pictures were on the page at all. So seems like "an accidental copy of the html file" onto the writely server. |

Ah, so it's more a creative reconstruction of the phantom page.
I didn't notice at first the word "restored" in the address/file name. _________________

VPN-less access.

This troubles me. why whould google use this website. google ussually buys all the domains very early for there beta's.
Project page
-
Design docs
These 2 links are wrong.
Design docs url is wrong. the base subdomain doesn't exist http://www.corp.google.com/
The Project page link was poorly made. The link should of been relative rather then pointing too. http://p/?p=944 The link should have the service www, should have a viable domain. it should look like this http://www.domain.com/directory/p/?p=944
I really doubt a google designer built this page. Very shappy work.
