Well, I couldn't really follow all that you wrote in your post (as its all so confusing), but I feel that the UN is not an anti-human element. The points you highlighted are definitely being discussed by the UN. I don't have any "proof", but those two points are two of the main things that the UN does. I hope you've not written all this just because you hate the US or something.
Bu as for the proof, I think mondine could do it ( ). He's the search wizard. _________________

I didn't reply, as I found the post baffling.
And also, in another thread, the poster was insulting towards this forum, (accusing us of being racist)
and generally rabid about "the West", so I didn't much see a point to it. _________________

I was thinking of doing the same thing, seeing what's been written in the post, but I though I'd reply anyway. Unfortunately, I didn't notice the poster abusing "the West", as I don't go and look everywhere - no time ( ). But really, what d'you think about all this, mondine? Or should this thread be ignored altogether? _________________

Have you ever worked or lived by the UN system. What experience do you have of their activities.
I live close to Geneva and I've worked for the UN system. i've observed as a media worker what they're doing and I've been a number of their conferences. I've listened to people freed from slavery and I have documentation about what they are attempting to do to stop child slavery for example.
Have you heard of the International committee of the red Cross and the DIH.
Droit internationale humanitaire.
Have you got the small booklet with the declaration of human rights in your home?
If you read these documents and follow the acitivities of the UN what you will find is that they are limited by 1) the governments 2) The people and 3) other effects.
What is the aim of the ILO: To provide decent work to all
WHO For an equal and good health to all
IMO: To provide better conditions to those who migrate
UNICEF: to make sure that all children have the basic amenities which will allow them to grow up as citizens of their respective countries.
The UN is an international body of governments striving for better qualities of life for all but they are limited by what each government does and the pressures within and outside these countries.
Simply take a look at how much Europe is struggling to become a uniform body of trading to assure it's place on a global scene.
The UN is pro human but it's hard to get so many people to agree on certain topics. |

The US does do stupid stuff, we dont need anyone to point the finger at us. I belive that the UN has very humane interests but I also believe that they will squash many freedoms to create a "humaine" socioty. They have fairly efficient checks and balences though so im not so worried about them. Big entitys like this are trouble though; its like keeping track of an ant hill from on top of a sky scraper, orders and information will be garbled and mistakes will be made. _________________ Be polite and be professional, but have a plan to kill everyone you meet. |

The UN is a good organiation but its just run by a bunch of idiots. Look at the new human rights committe; Cuba, China, Sudia Arabia and a few other countries that have the worst human rights records. _________________ We are going to have to act if we want to live in a different world
