G'day all - I found my way here after hearing about Orkut - I was hoping to oneday get an invitation so I Googled for it and found myself here.
Looks like a cool forum! I am a great lover of Google - great interface if you have a fast connection and collaberative spreadsheets look cool and online documents also. Makes it for easy minute distribution!
About me: I work for an Animal Rights group in Adelaide in South Australia. We campaign on getting better conditions for animals in areas of involvement with humans such as duck hunting, in intensive farming, rodeo's, puppy factories and these types of issues.
We also work to increase the community knowledge about how good a veg*an diet is for the individual, for the animals of course and for the environment.
Anyhow - that's my soap-boxing done!
I love to garden, I have two rabbits that I care for and I play the piano. I don't like fossil fuel vehicles so I ride where ever I have to go 95% of the time.
I enjoy maintaining friendships with people around the world and seem to do half of my socialising online of late - but in a way - it saves on fuel!
I went to Spain to visit a vegan friend this year and the blog and some of the pictures can be seen online if you are interested.

You seem to be a very enthusiastic person, and have a wide range of interests.
Also, I myself stumbled upon GC when I searched Google for free orkut invites.

Thanks for the welcome!
Looks like an interesting place and I hope to meet some interesting people.
I didn't really think of myself as an enthusiastic person... but maybe I am. This is Spain this year - in late Winter - it was 12°C and we lay there for two hours with not a lot to warm us.
It's not everyone that sunbakes in Puerta del Sol in Winter in Madrid.
