Hi there!

Does anyone there can tell the meaning of spamming. What is your own understanding of the real meaning of spamming.

Topic about posting to yahoo groups. How can you tell that somebody is spamming in your groups?

I just want to avoid spamming.

Usually spamming means tens or hundreds or thousands of posts advertising something or maybe just Hello world!.
Even one post can be regarded as spamming: asdjahldhalfkafkajflkasnclanl

You cant blame anybody being stupid e.g. sending stupid comments, but you can spot spamming easily.

To avoid doing it yourself: type everything you want to say, dont paste it. Think what you are typing, you cant go wrong.

Anything that is posted intentionally be it text or links which is not relevant to the content is spamming. There are various parameters that everyone follows for spamming. Spamming is often viewed as an act of sending unsolicited emails or a procedure of abusing the normal search engine ranking guidelines.
