Hello all.... I found this on another website, and thought i would share it here. I dont know if this has been posted on this forum, but if it was please dont get mad at me. This website describes a current scam on eBay, selling gmail invite generators. It also describes why gmail invites dont wont. It was pretty interesting. I will post a couple of links now.

I think its kind of sad that these people are trying to rip off people. Do you know that the odds of getting an invite from these generators?

thanks for informing me. i've been waiting quite a while on the waiting lists, at the chain sites, where you can wait for a random person to send you an invitation, but i haven't gotten one yet, so i was going to see what ebay had to offer (because some of the swaps that they have going on in certain websites are more costly than ebay). luckily i found this email, which clearly displayed the odds.

I noticed that even if you have enough GC$, there is no gmail account left in the GC shop. So maybe this jackpot way still worth to try.

| man who would pay for a generator. thats like buying something from a store and they tell you it may or may not work but they have a no refund policy. cuz whoever buys this "magic" generator will never get their money back from a scammer like that. people must really want gmail to fall for ploys like that. sad really. |

Well other people didnt know. It makes me happy to prevent people from getting spammed even if people like you already "knew." I am glad you tryed to help people out from getting ripped off. Like someone said who would buy this generator, well there are some people that dont know that it wont work, and we need to make sure they know and wont get suckered into buying this. We can help!

Well, if you get alot of invites like 30 of them for 3.50 dollars a piece, you could then sell them for $5 dollars a piece and make a 1.50 dollar profit. Not bad... Or maybe he was to give out to his family or he could give them away on his website to get his hits up on the website. We just dont know what his motives are. Maybe he will give me one.  lol Doubt it very much.
