Well, Google added a new feature to AdSense, the ability to now display images in your ads. Do you think it will be good for your site or bad for your site? To tell you the truth, I don't know at first glance how these new kind of ads will affect my site so I enabled it.

I think most people are hoping this will increase CPC rates - for the past few months most publishers have been seeing less.

I think that displaying images on AdSense will make Google nothing diffrent then other advertisers .I think that text only ads are rather better doesn`t make your website look totally unprofessional.

I enjoy adwords because it only is text, im not annoyed by an animated .gif. I love google because it is plain and provides information in an easy to read manor. With images, my guess is that they will be abused and take away from the beloved simplicity and non flare of the site. Just my 2 cents.

Well, that's why they allow you to choose text only.

Well, I recently signed up for AdSense, and still haven't put them on my site because of server access problems, but I'll put in my two cents as a user. I believe the images are going to be carefully administered by Google to meet requirements like size and content. Since each image can say something other than what the Advertiser says it has on it, each has to be viewed. Therefore, I don't think the annoying images that flash multiple colors and make people scroll away or exit the site will be put on. Images are most likely used for Logos that are catchy.

I always prefer text only. In the net you seek information.

i hope they change their mind about letting people put images on this as system.
That's why it was totaly different from other ads, because it had no images or flah or .gif.
But if they don't do that at least put a set of restrictive rules on the content and type of visual stuff.
So there will be no abuses and the viewers will not be harased by huge flashing ads that never go away.
