I'm not sure if this can be done, but hopefully, someone will give it a try. I would like to have a header image designed for my blog. I already have the image that I want to be used. I don't have Photoshop or any of those programs, or I'd do this myself. Here are the details:

I have an image that is 595 pixels in height, and 446 pixels in width. It needs to be resized to exactly 192 pixels in height and 740 pixels in width. Near the top of the image, I want the words, The Roving Activist's Blog in white Verdana font.

If you feel that you can do this, post here, and I will post a link to the image. After you have finished with the image, please post me a link to it, and after I have approved it, I will pay you $5,000 GC$, and credit you in my blog.

Thanks!

Could you post a link to the image?
With that sort of disproportionate resize, either a cropped area will have to be used,
or it would be badly distorted.

By the way, have you ever tried the free program Irfanview?
It's wonderfully multi-purpose, but simple-to-use graphics program. (I use it for my default viewer).

A job like you describe would take a couple of minutes.

Okay, I've had a quick look, and it's going to be a tough one.
Naturally, you can't do a straight resize, as it looks like everyone's been squashed by heavy alien gravity.

Then, I thought that you'd mainly want to keep the people, so I tried rotating and cropping,
so that most of the people can be included in the short, wide frame.
Unfortunately, this looks equally awkward,
as the folks are now walking (and rolling) on an improbable slant.

To use this photo, I think you'd need to decide which area to use for a lengthwise strip
which, being short and wide, would unfortunately be mostly background.

Well, I did some cropping, and this is the area in the image that I want:

Now some width has to be added to bring it to 740 pixels, perhaps from the original image. I guess the text will have to go at the bottom.

I tried a couple of things with other areas of the photo, like creating a panorama, that includes the other figures,
but the perspective is wonky, and it just looks odd.

I'd suggest maybe thinking of a couple of symbols, or slogans, or flags, etc. to use to bookend the image and make up the width.
Or possibly just solid colour, or patterned 'boxes'.

Oh well, thanks for trying. I have been on the Word Press board trying to see if I can put the smaller image beneath the header on the main page of the blog. Hopefully, this can be done.

Again, thanks for trying!
