According to SEW: "Google Desktop does not index Google Talk chats—and there is no immediate plan to add that feature to Desktop"

this is inexplicable and offputting.

That's more than a tad upsetting, but it is in beta, though you'd expect it to be one of the beta features heh. I've got GAIM running too for AIM and stuff, so I guess I wont be shutting it off anytime soon...didn't plan on turning it off until Gtalk lets you add people from other services anyways.
