hi,

i have two .avi files (with div x codec) that I'd like to transfer into a DVD.

I know how to do this if the movie is only 1 .avi file but I've never had to do two, is there a program that batches the avi's together? none i've found work correctly.

if there are any other alternative methods to getting the two files (parts of the movie) on to a DVD please let me know!

thanks.

Maybe try Virtualdub. Free, Opensource.
I include this link, as most download sites don't have much of a write-up on program features, and it's the best I can find at short notice. Or without working too hard.

We used Windows Movie Maker to load the avi files for merging and truncating and then saved them as WMV files (NTSC highest resolution option). This worked really well as the file sizes were halved, however we lost our text overlays (it didn't register the codec files).

Hope this helps some.

thanks but DivX to DVD allows you to convert multiple avi files in one session. i felt pretty dumb after it was all over with.
