Hi all
I forgot my password for orkut so I tried to reset it but
when I went to the Orkut home page I saw that it has merged with google account,
I saw the " Forgot your password? " link and I have submit my email address but when I got the email for resetting password I forund that its for Gmail account not for Orkut
so ... 
where is " Forgot your password? " link for Orkut
I forgot my orkut password not gmail,
Help Plz |

i dont see it either, try highliting were it should be, maybe the link isnt showing up.

Have you tried just signing in with your Gmail password?
(Or are the accounts in different names?)

accounts are different
I can't use my gmail password,
after login with my gmail account it ask me for orkut username and password |

Hmm. It is pretty confusing, what with the Orkut accounts, Gmail accounts, and Google accounts.
But I don't see why it wouldn't work if you went to the reset page for Google accounts, and enter whatever email address is associated with the Orkut account.
Am I missing something, here?

yes because you have upgraded your orkut to google account,
but I did not upgrade it yet, so I need orkut account password |

My Orkut account is the same login as my gmail account...and no, I haven't 'upgraded'.

Look at this page which I took screenshot
I see this page after login to orkut with my gmail account
so here I have to enter my orkut account information to link gmail account to orkut account
but ...

Okay, so you had an Orkut account before it was required to be linked to a Google account?
And it isn't?
I'm just sure we've got all the facts right, here, so hopefully someone can come up with a solution.

Edit: If that is the case, and your address associated with your Orkut account is not the same as your Google account, make sure you are signed out of both Gmail, and Google, delete all your Google cookies, and try the "forgot password link" again. Worth a try, anyway.

Additionally, you have no other way of retrieving the password? Not on your local drive at all?
How long has it been since you've logged on?

Hmm. Well, I can't find this circumstance covered anywhere in their help.
I think you'll probably have to use their contact form, to see if they can help you:

But then again, if you haven't been in so long, maybe it'd be easier to just sign up with a new account.
