I tried to connect with google talk but i counldn't connect with the server. I have a 56k connection. Do u need Broadband?

No, even much slower connections (33,6 or 28,8 or even 14,4 for example) should connect without problems. You need bandwith only when using voice features of GTalk.

if ur under 56k don't use voice, as it is 56k jumps/skips.
