i am going 2 buy a new computer i need 2 know 2 buy a amd 64. or a pentium dual core. i know ther the new 64 2 that is dual core but i dont have that much cash. so from the amd 64 or pentium dual core whitch one will be fast and mour worth my money.

Currently Athlons walk over P4's, no question about it.
Things will start to be interesting in next year propably, but I suppose you don't want to wait that long. (especially since initially new Intel & AMD cpu's will be very expensive...)

AMD processors are the best value: for the same cost, they deliver faster performance.

I think that AMDs are a better value as well, however make sure you don't screw yourself over with the case. A case that has a lot of side venting can cause a lot of problems with an AMD processor. It's hard to explain...but it's true.

AMD ALL THE WAY. Ever since AMD's K6, they've been beating Intel in performance and cost (maybe even before the K6).
