Be honest and tell us which you use, if any. Try one, if you haven't. Web-based is the only way to go!
Google's
Yahoo's Konfabulator
Windows Live
Netvibes
Protopage
goowy
Zoozio

I'm using this one, right now. Not too flashy, but functional.

I don't use a start page; never saw a point to it, really.
I do have a Google personalized home page and one for Windows Live in my bookmarks.
I'll have a look every now and then for news and weather, but I've usually got other things to do.

Darn, I forgot to leave the 'other' option. Okay, it's fixed now. I kinda like Netvibes, look how it docks your gmail at the top left. It's clean, too.

I'm in the same boat as you... I've used Google IG, Netvibes, and Protopage but never really have used any of them for an extended period of time because I really don't find them all that helpful for what I use the internet for.

My actual 'start' page is a blank. But I usually open the browser with a shortcut, or a link (from a mail message). Most often, GC is the first stop.

I put a few favourites on the desktop as shortcuts, put them in a folder, and dragged the folder to my quicklaunch bar.
It's one of the ones hidden to the right of the bar, so that when I click the double-arrow on the right, it opens the folders I've put there like a menu.
My startling powers of organization have frightened children and caused grown men to weep.

It really all depends on what you use your computer for. The organisation and simplification is great. I plan my next attack for posting/reading articles from my desktop plus, it travels well. My weather, email and stocks quotes are handy, too. All of my favorite news sources are just sitting there, waiting to be read, isn't that convenience. Very Happy

Could you not put the GC RSS feed in there too? Smile
