First off, this topic would probably be better suited to the GC Announcements, Feedback & Questions forum. Perhaps it will be moved there.
It would be nice if there could be some reasoned, rational political discussion, but unfortunately these tend to break out in rants, and arguments not conducive to a friendly forum.
Maybe the administration would consider one on a trial basis, to see if people can conduct themselves in a civilized manner. It could be worth a try.

Rules don't really keep things under control all the time. We have members who read the rules and then virtually break all of them. But, your idea isn't bad. Only that heightened political discussions would spoil the lovely picnic we have here at GC.

| Some forums don't allow political chat at all as it often stirs up arguments, however I currently study politics and if it can be done in a reasonable manner, it can add great discussion to a forum, |
