| Does anyone here know how to make a forum for a website? Wait, let me rephrase that. Will anyone here teach me how to make a forum for a web site? Whether you just give me the HTML to put in my site, or whatever way you feel is best. |

Go to www.phpbb.com - download the file then upload it to your website...that will be enough to get you a forum, then install a theme etc on it  Good luck!

| sry to double post. I am not a complete idiot, but how the hell do I upload the files to my website or at least make them a special page? I just see a bunch of files, but how do I get them together and put them on a page? |

Create a directory or subdomain, then upload the files exactly as they are downloaded....remember to keep the folder structure!

PunBB is another great forum software - in some ways better than PHPBB (just look at the speed! and overally clean layout)
And there exists eve quite good free hosting: http://www.mypunbb.com/
As for your last questions Platapus: read "readme"/"FAQ"

| i used andrew's site, phpbb, but it wouldnt let me change the file permisions under my ftp client, wise ftp, my servers may not be allowed to run it. I have 1and1 MS home hosting. Oh well, I think I'll try the others. I hope my host supports it. |

| once again, sry about posting again- zima, I tried your site and it was awesome except I couldn't redirect it to my site or find a way to import it. 'Cause I don't want my site to be something like bla.punbb.com or whatever. thanks for the suggestion though, I'm off to try simplemachines. |

| I used simplemachines, but whenever I go to the directory, the .php never show up? Would this be a server issue, cause i thought 1and1 ms hosting supported it. |

| What software for what? I run Windows XP Home and I use Mozilla Firefox. With phpbb, it wouldn't open up the .php ones and the same thing with simplemachines. It only worked with Zima's punbb, but the problem with thats is that I want it to be forwarded, or linked, or set up, on my web site, not theirs. |
